Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Nick Young has been one of the the better shooters in the league, especially from the free-throw line. He is a career 83.5 percent shooter from the line and this season has been doing even better at 92.1 percent. Despite that high success rate, Young surprisingly decided to to change his routine of how he attempts his shots.

On Wednesday night when the Lakers faced the Brooklyn Nets, the 30-year-old USC product decided to try a different style, which caught the players positioning for a rebound off-guard.

Young pump faked before releasing the ball and missing the shot completely.

For the sake of Lakers fans, hopefully Young sticks to the way he is used to shooting his free throws as every point counts for the ailing L.A. squad.

His team is currently in the midst of an extended losing streak, going down in eight straight games. If Young continues to attempt freebies like this, it certainly won't help their cause.
