Nearly 10 hours after it was revealed that Anthony Davis has requested a trade from the New Orleans Pelicans, power forward Nikola Mirotic has broken his silence on the matter through social media.

Mirotic took to Twitter to inform everyone that life is beautiful for him right now:

Now that Anthony Davis is likely going to be on the move soon, one could surmise that Nikola Mirotic will be traded as well. After all, the Pelicans aren't in the playoff picture with Davis on the team, so if they are really going to trade AD, they might as well get off all of their big contracts and start a full rebuild.

Life is indeed pretty good for Nikola Mirotic. The 27-year-old is making $12,500,000 this season. He will become an unrestricted free agent in the summer.

Mirotic, who is currently dealing with a right calf strain, is averaging 16.7 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game on the season for New Orleans while shooting 44.7 percent from the field, 36.8 percent from beyond the arc and 84.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Teams in need of perimeter shooting could use the services of Nikola Mirotic. Add to the fact that he's on an expiring contract, Mirotic could be a hot commodity as the trade deadline approaches.
