The special teams of the San Francisco 49ers could look a bit different when they face the Seattle Seahawks on Monday. According to MJ Acosta of NFL Network, Robbie Gould is doubtful to play versus the Seahawks.

Following San Francisco's win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 9, it was discovered that Gould had sustained a quad injury. Due to the injury, the veteran kicker was unable to practice throughout the entire week.

With Gould expected to be out, the 49ers went out and signed Chase McLaughlin. McLaughlin was an undrafted rookie that signed with the Los Angeles Chargers to help replace Michael Badgley while he recovered from an injury.

While with the Chargers, McLaughlin made six of his nine field-goal attempts. Also, the undrafted rookie made all seven of his extra-point tries for Los Angeles.

Once Badgley returned for the Chargers, they waived McLaughlin and he entered free agency. The 49ers are hoping that McLaughlin can be efficient in his debut with the team in Week 10.

As for Gould, he has struggled this season, making only 13 of his 20 field-goal attempts. Furthermore, Gould has a career-low 65 percent conversion rate on his field goals through nine weeks.

At the very least, Gould has made all 26 of his extra-point attempts for the 49ers. Nevertheless, San Francisco are preparing to be without their usually reliable kicker on Monday night versus the Seahawks.

Besides Gould, the 49ers are also expected to be without George Kittle on Monday night. The versatile tight end is recovering from a knee injury that he sustained in Week 9 against the Cardinals.
