The North Carolina State Wolfpack are still dealing with potential NCAA infractions from before Kevin Keatts even took over the program.

Even with the 2019-20 college basketball season approaching, when asked, Keatts did admit the possibility of sanctions coming by way of the governing body has made life difficult on the recruiting trail.

“From a recruiting standpoint, it’s been a little bit of a challenge,” Kevin Keatts said of the NCAA case during the Wolfpack’s preseason media day, via The AP. “As you know in basketball or any sport, any time of your competitors can use something that may happen or may not happen against you, then they do.

“From our standpoint, we really have just focused on these guys and how successful we can be. Honestly we don’t even talk about it.”

For those unaware, everything that could happen is based off events that allegedly happened before Kevin Keatts took the job or any of the current North Carolina State Wolfpack players were on campus.

The governing body of college sports charged North Carolina State with four violations, including potential top-level counts against former head coach Mark Gottfried and former assistant coach Orlando Early tied to guard Dennis Smith Jr.

Given that neither coach is still with the program, it will obviously be interesting to see what form of punishment the NCAA dishes out; and/or if there's some leniency attached given the new-look Wolfpack.
