The goal of most college basketball programs is to make the NCAA Tournament. The North Carolina State Wolfpack, coming off a tremendous 2018-19 campaign, happen to be no different.

After missing the Big Dance last season, despite a 24-win trot about collegiate hardwoods, those within the NC State bubble can't help but to admit there's a fixation on returning to the madness that is March.

“That was one big thing we heard a lot this summer,” junior guard Braxton Beverly said of the tournament snub.

Beverly is not alone on the entire NCAA Tournament situation from last season. Even a brand new player, via transfer, is caught in the middle of the hoopla.

“Not a lot of teams have a 24-win season and not make the tournament,” said Pat Andree, a graduate transfer from Lehigh. “Yeah, it was definitely a point of conversation with the guys coming in. Everybody’s pretty hungry to make it this year.”

While NCAA sanctions, thanks to a previous staff, loom, the North Carolina State Wolfpack will enter the upcoming college basketball season with good balance. Expect them to make a run at the NCAA Tournament.
