Coming off 33 and 30-win seasons, the Denver Nuggets are looking to move things around once more.

Rumor has it that, according to ESPN Senior Writer Zach Lowe the Nuggets have “been dangling (Kenneth) Faried off and on for three years, and continue to now, sources say.”

While likely their most exciting player, the five-year forward out of Morehead State has failed to blossom into the star many people expected him to become.

Kenneth Faried has career averages of 12.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 0.9 blocks per game — great numbers for a support player, but not enough to keep a team's neck above water in a ruthless Western Conference.

Lowe feels the Nuggets “could deal in either team-building direction: turn young players and extra picks into a bigger name, or go full rebuild by flipping their established veterans for more picks.”

“You can win 30-something games for only so long before ownership jolts you in one direction — even if this ownership gave its entire front office contract extensions over the summer.”

The Manimal is fun to watch during fastbreaks and put-back situations with his ridiculous athletic ability, but the team is best served playing the Indo-European twin towers in Nikola Jokic and Jusuf Nurkic.

The sheer size of both players would give Denver a different dynamic and a much younger prospect while developing their young players.

If they happen to move Danilo Gallinari‘s contract as well as Kenneth Faried's, the Nuggets could become the Philadelphia 76ers of the west, as they stand to lose a lot of games in order to develop and acquire talent through the NBA Draft.
