The Denver Nuggets' game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday was supposed to be a showdown between Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid. While fans did get that, Bones Hyland stole the show from the MVP frontrunners, so much so that even Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum couldn't help but be in awe.

Hyland went bonkers in the game, as he exploded for 21 points in 31 minutes of playing time off the bench. He went 4-of-9 from 3-point territory, banking his long-range bomb at insane distances–one even came near the logo.

The 21-year-old rookie was pivotal as the Nuggets erased a 19-point deficit to come back and take the 114-110 victory. Nikola Jokic was masterful again with 22 points, 13 rebounds, eight assists, two steals and two blocks, but without Hyland, it's hard to see Denver overcoming a 58-point explosion from Joel Embiid and James Harden combined.

Sure enough, Bones Hyland made heads turn, with Jayson Tatum taking to Twitter to react to the youngster's performance.

Hyland is one of the most promising players not only on the Nuggets roster, but in the whole NBA. He is making the most of his opportunity to play while the likes of Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. are out, and he is responding nicely to the trust head coach Michael Malone gave him.

Hopefully, Hyland can keep the momentum going. Even when their other stars return, he could establish and cement his place in the lineup with a string of solid plays.
