The comeback is complete! The Denver Nuggets pulled off a monumental upset after taking down the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 7 of their second-round series, 104-89.

Denver was thought to be out of the competition after falling 3-1 to the Clippers following their Game 4 defeat. However, they won the next two games to book the do-or-die Game 7.

Amazingly, they showed up once again and shocked the Clips, thanks in large part to Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray. The Joker finished Game 7 with a triple double of 16 points, 22 rebounds and 13 assists, while Murray led all scorers with 40 points on top of four boards and five dimes.

It didn’t help the Clippers that Kawhi Leonard and Paul George disappeared in the most crucial game of playoffs. The two combined for just 10 made field goals out of 38 attempts and made just 24 points.

Montrezl Harrell was LA’s top-scorer with just 20 markers.

With the victory, the Nuggets became the very first team to come back from multiple 3-1 deficits in a single postseason. To recall, they also fell down 3-1 against the Utah Jazz in the opening round only to upset the Salt Lake City faithful with a massive 3-0 series run.

The Nuggets will face the Los Angeles Lakers next in the Western Conference Final as they try to finally vanquish their NBA Finals drought.

The Lakers made easy work of the Houston Rockets in their semifinals series, needing only five games to advance.
