The analysts at ESPN are predicting that the Denver Nuggets will be a top contender in the 2019-20 NBA season.

According to their offseason power rankings, which were recently released, ESPN is viewing the Nuggets as the second-most powerful team in the league, just behind the first-ranked Milwaukee Bucks.

The Nuggets are coming off of a fine 2018-19 campaign, finishing with an impressive 54-28 overall record and a No. 2 seed in the Western Conference Playoffs. Unfortunately, though, Denver was defeated by the Portland Trail Blazers in the second round, 4-3.

Denver already has several talented players on its roster, including Nikola Jokic. However, the team added another “big” in Bol Bol during the 2019 NBA Draft, despite the fact that the Nuggets had no picks entering the event.

Bol Bol is the son of NBA legend Manute Bol. Now that he's made it to the NBA, the 7-2 center will be looking to make his own name in the league.

Bol, 19, played in just nine games during his collegiate stint with the Oregon Ducks, but he was extremely effective. In 29.8 minutes per game, the Sudanese-American player racked up averages of 21.0 points on 56.1 percent shooting from the field (52.0 percent from beyond the arc), 9.6 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 2.7 blocks.

It's not clear if the Nuggets are planning to deploy Bol Bol and Jokic in the same lineup. If that happens, Denver will have one of the biggest frontcourts in the NBA.
