The Denver Nuggets are working to improve their 46-31 record to secure a solid spot in the playoffs. They did just that in a huge Wednesday night win over the Indiana Pacers. The team has suffered from multiple late-season injuries, including JaMychal Green's recent wrist injury.

It was unclear whether or not Green was playing Wednesday night since he was a game-time decision and was seen warming up in Indiana. The media found out about his game-time status at the exact same time that the public did in a nontraditional fashion.

Altitude TV host Katy Winge asked her coworker Scott Hastings, who was live at warm-ups, if there was any update on Green. The Nuggets analyst took matters into his own hands and asked the center himself.

Altitude TV tweeted the hilarious live television moment.

“I'll ask him…hey JaMychal, you playing?” Hastings asked the Nuggets center.

“No,” Green said, shaking his head.

“Nah, he's not playing,” Hastings reiterated, turning around to face the camera once again. While it was a nontraditional, hilarious way to break the news, Hastings' report was both effective and credible.

Typically, NBA insiders, like Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, break this type of news. Like other insiders and journalists, Woj has direct sources from teams around the league and uses Twitter to share information.

It's unlikely that Hastings' way of reporting Green's game-day availability will catch on, but it definitely delivered a good laugh. As for Green, he is still listed as a game-time decision for the Nuggets' Friday night matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
