The Denver Nuggets are dealing with several injuries to key players, which is why they are reportedly looking to make some upgrades at the trade deadline.

Michael Porter Jr. remains out and is likely to miss the rest of the season with a back injury that needed surgery, while PJ Dozier is still sidelined indefinitely due to an ACL tear. Not to mention that the team is still without Jamal Murray, who has been rehabbing from his torn left ACL from last season.

With the team lacking manpower for the long-term, Mike Singer of Denver Post reported that the Nuggets will try to target a wing player to patch the hole in that area of their roster.

With long-term injuries to both Michael Porter Jr. and P.J. Dozier, the Nuggets’ primary target is a wing, one source said. Outside of Will Barton, who can play small forward but is more a traditional shooting guard, the Nuggets’ roster is devoid of any true wings.

A wing player is not the Nuggets' only target, though. Apparently, they also want another center to backup Nikola Jokic. While they have both Zeke Nnaji and Bol Bol, what they need right now is an experienced center who can help them against opponents who play big.

It remains to be seen who the Nuggets will get and which assets they are willing to part ways with to improve the roster, but by the looks of it, they will not just sit and watch at the deadline.
