Monday, the Denver Nuggets traded forward JaMychal Green to the Oklahoma City Thunder, per Woj. Green, paired with a 2027 first round pick, will head to OKC in exchange for the 30th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft plus two future second-rounders.
Denver now has two first round picks in this year's NBA draft and a $6.4 Million mid-level tax exemption or $8.2 Million trade exemption. OKC, who will use its $31 Million in cap space to absorb Green's contract, now holds three first round picks in 2022 and another future first rounder for GM Sam Presti's collection.
Green is expected to exercise his $8.2M contract for 2022-2023. Deal gives Nuggets flexibility to use a $6.4M tax mid-level exception or an $8.2M trade exception in offseason. Nuggets expect to be a tax-paying team. Thunder have $31M in cap space to absorb Green salary.
