According to a tweet from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Denver Nuggets are still trying to move power forward Kenneth Faried's large contract and are willing to attach a pick in order to make the deal more appealing.

“One team that could play immense part in dictating final hours of trade deadline: Denver. They're active on several fronts, including trying to acquire Tyreke Evans, move Emmanuel Mudiay and Wilson Chandler, and use pick to incentivize a team to take on Kenneth Faried’s contract,” Wojnarowski said.

Faried continues to be buried on the Nuggets' bench and is only averaging 5.9 points and 4.8 rebounds per game in just 14.4 minutes of action per contest.

However, the Brooklyn Nets are a team that is rumored to make sense for Faried if a pick is attached to the deal, according to speculation from Nets beat writer Anthony Puccio of SB Nation.

Via a series of tweets from Puccio on Thursday:

“Woj says Denver is willing to use a pick to incentivize a team to take on Kenneth Faried’s contract, who is owed $13 million next season. Nets have used this strategy several times before. Worth keeping an eye on,” Puccio said. “No idea if Nets are interested, but it makes sense given their track record.”

While the Nuggets (29-25) don't necessarily have names of star players that jump off the page, they do have great depth on their roster. This should allow Denver, who is currently the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference playoff race, to continue to explore multiple trade options as the deadline approaches.
