After missing his team’s last two games, Gary Harris appears healthy enough to make a return on Friday and rejoin the Denver Nuggets when they face the New Orleans Pelicans. Harris had been sidelined by a sore right shoulder, and was given some time to recover.

The 23-year-old Michigan State product was able to participate in the Nuggets' practice session on Wednesday, and did not appear to be suffering from any lingering effects of the injury. Harris talks about his improving comfort level which will only get better upon more floor action, per Gina Mizell of The Denver Post.

“It’s just getting back playing with contact and getting comfortable with everything,” Harris said.

Nuggets coach Michael Malone added that the injury also affects a player’s confidence, while saying he expects Harris to return to the court on Friday.

“Really, it’s more from a mental and confidence standpoint with that shoulder,” Malone said. “… I would be surprised if he doesn’t play on Friday night.”

Gary Harris’ availability will be a huge boost to the Nuggets, especially with his value as a three-and-D player. He is averaging solid numbers of 12.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.8 steals in 31.7 minutes per game.
