The Denver Nuggets have shooting guard Gary Harris and forward Michael Porter Jr. active for Friday night's matchup with the New Orleans Pelicans, the team announced.

Point guard Jamal Murray, meanwhile, will miss his fifth-straight game with an ankle injury as veteran power forward Paul Millsap continues to be out for a second-straight week with a knee contusion. Additionally, Mason Plumlee is out 2-4 weeks with a foot injury, the team announced earlier this week.

The 25-year-old Harris is returning from being sidelined for five games with an adductor injury and the redshirt freshman Porter Jr. missed one game while nursing his back injury.

Porter has come out strong since making his professional debut with the Nuggets this season. Denver selected the former Missouri Tiger with the 14th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, controversially, as the 21-year-old needed back surgery. Porter missed the entire 2018-19 season recovering from his injury.

In 34 contests, Porter has averaged 7.2 points and 3.7 rebounds in 12.8 minutes per game. In spite of missing the last game, Porter has had an uptick recently, too, averaging 16.0 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in his past five games.

Harris has been a strong contributor for head coach Mike Malone's club, pitching in 11.0 points per game this season with more than one steal a contest.

The Nuggets became a Western Conference contender based on continuity, with little to no change in the past year in the roster and main rotation aside from trading for Jerami Grant and getting their rookie Porter healthy.
