The Denver Nuggets are set to have starting shooting guard Gary Harris back in their lineup for tonight’s nationally televised game against the New Orleans Pelicans. Harris had missed the team’s last two games due to shoulder soreness.

Harris is having a slow start to the season after signing a massive four-year, $84 million extension just prior to the season. He’s averaging just 12.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists, which are all down from last year’s numbers. However, he is still shooting well, hitting 44 percent of his three-pointers on nearly five attempts per game.

With Harris’ return to the starting lineup, Will Barton will go back to his sixth-man role off the Nuggets bench. Barton, the team's third-leading scorer at 14.9 points per game, erupted with a season-high 26 points with nine rebounds and five assists in his first start against the Orlando Magic.

Barton was more subdued with 12 points and five rebounds in a 99-82 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers last time out. He should give the Nuggets bench a much-needed boost after they could only produce 14 points in the loss to Portland.

Harris will look to mark his return with another strong outing against New Orleans. He averaged 18.7 points on 58 percent shooting with 4.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists in three meetings against the Pelicans last season.
