Denver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray seemingly had the dunk of the night with his vicious slam over Milwaukee Bucks power forward DJ Wilson. Unfortunately, it was ultimately spoiled by an offensive foul call on him.

The call clearly did not sit well with fans and players around the league. Even Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant took to Twitter to express his displeasure with the call.

Morant certainly knows a thing or two about high-flying dunks after posterizing his fair share of defenders throughout the course of the 2019-20 NBA season. Although the two may be Western Conference rivals and potential playoff opponents, the rookie has no problem giving respect where it is due.

It is safe to say that Morant is not the only one that shares this same sentiment. The officials have received plenty of criticism for their performance this season. Although controversial calls are hardly a rare occurrence, they certainly do not do themselves any favors by taking a highlight dunk away from the fans.

Fortunately, the Nuggets can take solace from the fact that the negated basket did not come back to haunt them after securing an impressive 109-95 victory over the Bucks. Although the dunk may not have counted, it still seemed to provide a much-needed spark for the team following a rough third quarter of play.

Meanwhile, Jamal Murray still managed too make his presence felt with 21 points, six assists, and five rebounds. More importantly, the Nuggets are still in the driver's seat to secure a top-4 seed in the Western Conference.
