On Friday, Utah Jazz big man Rudy Gobert was speaking to reporters about his All-Star snub and then began to wipe away tears before walking away.

Gobert was talking about his mother, whom Gobert said called him up crying when she heard the news that he had not made the 2018-19 Western Conference All-Star roster.

The 26-year-old then began to get emotional before stepping away from the reporters.

As expected, NBA players began to poke fun at Gobert when the video of him crying hit social media, and one of those players was Denver Nuggets guard Isaiah Thomas:

However, Thomas then apologized to Gobert shortly after making the post, saying that he was just joking.

At least Thomas decided to apologize.

Golden State Warriors players Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala both took to Twitter to mock Gobert, either not understanding that the Frenchman was getting emotional because of his mother or choosing to ignore it.

Neither player apologized, with Green actually doubling down his remarks:

Green was ripped by fans on Twitter, with some naturally bringing up the fact that he reportedly called Kevin Durant from the parking lot shortly after the Warriors lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2016 NBA Finals.

On the season, Gobert is averaging 15 points, 12.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.2 blocks over 31.6 minutes per game while shooting a league-best 65 percent from the floor and 64.8 percent from the free-throw line.

He entered the NBA during the 2013-14 campaign and is yet to make an All-Star team in spite of having a Defensive Player of the Year award under his belt and averaging double-doubles in three straight seasons.
