Denver Nuggets point guard Isaiah Thomas believes he is the greatest NBA player “under 5-10” in NBA history. Thomas is 5-foot 9. The two-time All-Star was the last pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. He has career averages of 18.6 points per game.

Do you think you’re the greatest player under 5-10?

“For sure,” Thomas told Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated. “Ever. Ever. Because nobody’s done what I done. My career averages, what I’ve done, with given the circumstances I’ve been in, nobody’s done that.

During the 2016-17 season with the Boston Celtics, Thomas was in the MVP discussion. He averaged 28.9 points and led the Celtics to the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.

Thomas' career took a turn for the worse after he suffered a serious hip injury. The Celtics traded IT to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the summer of 2017. The lefty only played in 15 games with the Cavs before he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Thomas signed with the Nuggets last summer. He played in nine games with the Nuggets, but then head coach Michael Malone decided to take him out of the playing rotation. Thomas just hasn't been able to rediscover his old form since the hip ailment.

Before he got hurt, though, Thomas was one of the best players in the NBA.
