Recent reports have stated that Denver Nuggets point guard Isaiah Thomas is close to making his season debut with the team, and based off Thomas' latest tweet, it looks like those rumors are true.

Thomas, who split time last season with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers, underwent arthroscopic hip surgery in March 2018. The two-time All-Star has been ramping up his workouts and appears to be ready to step back onto the court again:

Isaiah Thomas signed a one-year deal with the Nuggets in free agency last summer, reuniting him with head coach Michael Malone. Thomas and Malone were together with the Sacramento Kings, and the two have a very close bond.

In 32 games last season with the Cavs and Lakers, Thomas averaged 15.2 points, 2.1 rebounds and 4.8 assists while shooting 37.3 percent from the field, 29.3 percent from beyond the arc and 89.3 percent from the free-throw line. Looking back on it now, Thomas probably should have had the hip surgery in the summer of 2017, but the good news is he had it and is close to playing basketball again.

The Nuggets are 38-18 on the season, good for second place in the Western Conference. When Thomas returns to the lineup, he will likely come off the bench.
