Things didn't look too good for Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray after he hurt his knee late in their 116-107 defeat against the Golden State Warriors on Monday. The 24-year old screamed in agony as he laid on the floor after the non-contact injury and was helped off the floor.

Several of Murray's NBA brothers, including Ja Morant, Zach LaVine, and Trae Young, among others, sent their well wishes after the Canadian guard's scary injury:

They may be opponents on the court, but it's good to see the NBA brotherhood coming together in these darker times of the game. Nobody wants to see anybody go down with a serious injury, but that's just what happens in sports.

Nuggets Nation is definitely holding their breath as Murray awaits the official diagnosis of his injury. It certainly didn't look promising when the injury happened, as Murray definitely looked like he was in a lot of pain. The fact that it didn't happen on any contact play makes it even more nerve-wracking.

As for Denver, they certainly can't afford to lose Murray with such a devastating injury. The regular season is just about to wind down and the Nuggets figure to contend for an NBA championship, no less.

Everybody knows that Nikola Jokic is the franchise superstar, but Murray is such an important part of their title hopes. He was so instrumental in their magical playoff run in the 2020 playoffs.

It's unlikely Denver gets any real shot of winning without him for an extended period. Furthermore, if Murray's injury is indeed serious, his recovery could put him out for part of next season.

Everybody is certainly hoping for the best for Denver's star point guard. Tuesday should bring more official news on the severity of the injury.
