Jamal Murray was unconscious on Saturday night when he led the Denver Nuggets to a 122-118 win against the Phoenix Suns. Murray erupted for 46 points despite playing with a bummed ankle.

Murray rolled his ankle in their 102-99 win against the San Antonio Spurs on Friday. He looked healthy against the Suns, as he knocked down nine of his 11 three-point attempts, and also tallied eight assists and six rebounds. The 21-year-old admitted after the game, though, that he initially struggled dealing with his hurting ankle.

“I ain’t gonna lie to you guys. It hurts a lot,” Murray said of his sprained ankle via The Denver Post. “I was trying not to move as much, kind of rely on my shot. I kept relying on it. As the game went on, more adrenaline started to kick in.”

Murray has been struggling from the three-point region this season, shooting just 27.8 percent from beyond the arc. But in their last two games, it appears the former Kentucky standout is now slowly regaining his touch. He converted 13 of his last 18 three-point attempts after only shooting 1-of-8 against San Antonio on Wednesday.

Murray admitted that he is aware of his struggles on his three-point shooting. However, the third-year guard remains confident, saying that he'll have more big scoring nights later in the season when he regains his shooting touch.

The 2016 seventh overall pick is having the best season of his young career. He is averaging career-highs 18.6 points, 4.9 assists, and 4.6 rebounds. His strong play has helped the Nuggets remain on top of the Western Conference standings with a 23-11 record.
