Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray's clutch gene was in full display against the Phoenix Suns on Saturday. The Nuggets were down by three and on the brink of defeat with under five seconds left in regulation before the Canadian sharpshooter decided to put on his cape.

Murray found himself in a mismatch against Suns center DeAndre Ayton in the final possession of regulation. He broke down his defender with a series of moves before catching him with a devious pump fake.

The 23-year-old guard fell on the floor as he launched his 3-pointer. The contact did not matter as he drained the clutch shot and sent the game to an extra five minutes. Here's the brilliant play.

Jamal Murray and the Nuggets were hunting for back-to-back wins against the Suns on their home floor. They came out victorious on Friday, as Murray fired 26 points, five assists, and six rebounds in their double overtime win, 120 – 112. The 6-foot-3 scorer has truly come to his own this year, following that breakout performance he had in the NBA bubble.

Heading into the rematch with the Suns, Murray is averaging 19.1 points on 44 percent shooting from the field and 32.6 percent clip from past the arc.
