Jamal Murray completely blew it in the Denver Nuggets' last play against the Washington Wizards on Thursday. Murray's poor decision ultimately cost his team the win. He was a real trooper after the loss though and took full responsibility for his last-second error.

He was quick to post a message on Twitter to all Nuggets fans after the 112-110 home defeat against the Wizards.

The ending was quite frenetic in Mile High City (via Frenzy Sports Group).

The Wizards had possession and were up by two but the Nuggets ended up with a huge defensive stop with just six seconds to go in the game. Murray quickly brought the ball down with a clear 4-to-1 advantage. The 24-year-old had Facundo Campazzo, Will Barton, and Michael Porter Jr. as viable options with only Bradley Beal standing in their way.

All four Nuggets, however, chose to stand behind the three-point arc instead of trying to go for a relatively easy two-point bucket in transition. With three seconds left, Murray hesitated and dished the ball to a wide-open Campazzo who, unfortunately, missed his last-second shot that would've given the Nuggets the win.

There seemed to have been so many ways the last play could've gone right for the Nuggets had Murray made a more aggressive move to the rack, especially with ample time left on the clock. But on the contrary, it resulted in the worst possible outcome for them. One can only imagine what Jamal Murray would be feeling when they go through the game film as they prepare for their five-game road swing.
