We've seen MVP candidates like Joel Embiid and Stephen Curry speak out about why they deserve to win the award this season. However, we've yet to hear a peep from Nikola Jokic, who most pundits believe is perhaps the most deserving of them all. Denver Nuggets head coach Mike Malone understands that his superstar center is not one to toot his own horn.

On Thursday, Malone made it clear that The Joker is the MVP based on just how valuable he is to the Nuggets franchise (via Harrison Wind of DNVR Sports).

“He's not going to go out there and tweet, and Instagram and Snapchat all his stats…I speak for everybody in Nuggets nation. We have a very high opinion of Nikola Jokic, and if he doesn't want to pound his chest we're all going to do it for him.”

Nikola Jokic is indeed the type of guy that lets his game do the talking. Judging by the phenomenal year he's having, the Serbian has been as loud as ever. Coach Mike Malone loves that about him.

The soft-spoken superstar has done everything for the Nuggets this season, with near triple-double averages of 26.4 points, 11.0 rebounds and 8.7 assists, along with 1.4 steals in 58 games so far.

Just when we thought he couldn't play any better, he shifted to an even higher gear once Jamal Murray went down with a season-ending injury. Jokic's dominance has propelled the Nuggets back to the Top 4 in the Western Conference with a 38-20 slate. They've won four in a row and have gone 8-2 in their last 10 games.

Other MVP frontrunners can talk as much as they want. But as far as coach Mike Malone is concerned, there's no question that Nikola Jokic is the MVP.
