In the immediate aftermath of Game 6, Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone said he had yet to see what led to a fourth-quarter scuffle between Portland Trail Blazers guard Seth Curry and Will Barton, one which included offsetting technicals for the aforementioned, along with Torrey Craig and Zach Collins, according to ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk.

Malone added he's hopeful both teams avoid further punishment from the league and are at full strength for Saturday's Game 7 at the Pepsi Center:

Three of the four players can potentially escape a suspension for this incident, but Barton could be in danger of being axed out of Game 7 after instigating contact with Curry.

In the clip below, Barton is seen poking Curry in the face — a poke likely meant for his forehead, but that wound up making contact with his eyes:

The action took place right between the two officials who attempted to break up the skirmish, but of which were looking at Curry at the rim he was poked in the eye.

Following a Game 6 win for the Blazers, Curry had some stuff to say about his confrontation with Barton, calling him and his teammates “sassy” and “frontrunners.”

The league will have a very slim timeline to review this matter, and Barton could very well face a game's suspension, unlikely to get the superstar treatment in a Game 7 that the Nuggets will play at home.

No one has been suspended thus far in this postseason, but technical fouls have been aplenty in every series, as tempers are more prone to flare when so much is at stake.
