It's official — the Denver Nuggets are heading home.No thanks to the team's Game 7 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday afternoon, the Nuggets have been eliminated from title contention. However, Michael Malone is ready to move on and is already looking ahead toward next season.

Despite his team blowing a sizeable first half lead at home against the Trail Blazers, Malone remains excited about the future in Denver.

“I love where we’re at, but more importantly I love where we’re going and who we’re going there with,” Malone made a point to say at his Game 7 postgame press conference, via NBA TV.

Although Malone is very high on his team in general, the Nuggets are especially grateful to have big man Nikola Jokic on his roster. However, he wants the rest of the country to take notice of the prolific center, who continues to improve in each of his NBA seasons.

“I hope after 14 playoff games that America came to appreciate Nikola's game,” Malone added.

The Nuggets managed to win 54 regular season games this 2018-19 campaign, establishing themselves as one of the teams to watch out for in the coming years. With the 2019-20 season up next, the Nuggets will surely enter the campaign as one of the favorites in the Western Conference.
