The L.A. Clippers bludgeoned the Denver Nuggets in what should have been a blockbuster showdown between two supposedly Western Conference heavyweights. In the post-game interview via Ben Golliver of The Washington Post, Nuggets head coach Michael Malone gave credit to the Clippers for their dominant performance from start to finish.

However, the way they approached Friday's contest did not please the 48-year old mentor. He also expressed his disappointment in their lack of response to L.A.'s opening haymaker to start the game that eventually led to 132-103 blowout.

The Clippers raced to 17-4 lead within the first five minutes and Denver never really recovered from the initial punch.

L.A. had seven players in double figures on Friday, led by Paul George's game-high 24 points. PG13 made 9-of-15 from the field and converted six triples. Meanwhile, Kawhi Leonard added 19 points on 6-of-12 shooting, while super-subs Montrezl Harrell and Lou Williams combined for 35 points off the bench.

This game just marked the 7th time that the Clippers had everyone healthy. Their perfect 7-0 slate with everyone on-board is an indication of just how dangerous they could be with a full squad.

The Clippers certainly showed their championship potential with their handling of the then second-seeded Nuggets. With the win, L.A. tied Denver with both teams sporting a 40-19 mark. This should be an interesting match-up to keep an eye on as they could eventually face each other in the playoffs, perhaps in the second round.

The Nuggets have established themselves as an elite team in the West. However, they still need to prove that they can consistently go toe-to-toe with the other powerhouses in their conference if they want to be considered as a real championship contender.
