Denver Nuggets head coach Mike Malone said on Wednesday that his starting shooting guard Gary Harris might be out longer than once thought.

According to Mike Malone, it seems as if Gary Harris' hamstring injury is worse than the organization thought at first. Moreover, they'll be keeping him under wraps until he fully recovers.

Harris has been struggling with injury all season long. Despite that though, the Nuggets have been very successful, only losing the first seed in the West to the Golden State Warriors.

The Nuggets have had an extremely efficient offense built around their big man Nikola Jokic. His ability as a playmaker and elite post scorer makes their offensive attack so balanced and creative. Oftentimes, Jokic will start possessions at the top of the key and the rest of the offense will work around him. He has smooth touch at the basket and can find passing lanes where there seems to be none.

On the season so far, the Joker has averaged 19.7 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 7.5 assists while shooting 50.6 percent from the field and 32.2 percent from beyond the arc. He's able to hit wide-open threes with ease as well as from anywhere inside of the line. He's an all-around scorer with a penchant for the highlight play.

Harris coming back should only make the Denver offense better, though his recovery timeline is still a concern.

The Nuggets are now 29-14 and currently at second overall in the NBA's Western Conference. They will face off next against the Chicago Bulls at home.
