Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. wanted to make sure his teammates were properly fed during a recent Summer League game.

Bringing snacks to an event is always nice, and sharing them often generates a few smiles. Most people carry them in a bag, Tupperware bowl, or even in their original wrappers. Porter Jr, however, brought his treats in what appears to be a tackle box.

Nuggets reporter Katy Winge shared a closer look at Porter's box of goodies:

The Nuggets selected Porter Jr. with the 14th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. Some experts feel that he would have been taken higher in the draft had he not suffered a lower back injury in college. Still, Denver felt confident in their decision, and the team has high hopes for his potential.

Porter sat out his entire rookie season, but he's made quite a bit of progress over the last few months.

“He’s been in the gym twice a day for a long time,” Nuggets president of basketball operations Tim Connelly told the Denver Post in June. “He’s been fully cleared for several months … Again, we’re going to be patient, but he’s been full bore for a long time, and he resembles the player we saw prior to all the injuries.”

Porter tweaked his knee during a scrimmage game in early July, but it's not believed to be a serious injury.

Regardless, the Nuggets are being cautious with his return.
