Despite recently losing several key players to injury, the Denver Nuggets still remain to be one of the most dangerous teams in the league right now. All signs point to the fact that the team will only get better in the near future, as they await the highly-anticipated debut of rookie Michael Porter Jr.

According to ESPN's Briand Windhorst, Porter, who is currently working his way back from a microdisectomy on his lower back in November of 2017, has been looking very good in workouts of late.

Those who have seen Michael Porter Jr. work out in Denver as he recovers from back surgery report he's looking impressive. Even the team is surprised how well he has been shooting the 3-pointer as he works with coach Mark Price.

Nonetheless, it is worth noting that this report does not provide any update on Porter's timetable. The Nuggets have not provided too much information regarding their prized rookie's road to recovery, and a target date for his NBA debut has not been identified. As a matter of fact, it is very much possible that the team opt to have Porter sit out the entirety of this season, as they err on the side of caution.

What is clear though, is that Porter is trending in the right direction, and that he should make an immediate impact once he is finally make his debut for Denver. The Nuggets took a huge risk on him when they drafted his 14th overall last June, and it seems that this move will eventually pay off in a big way.
