After getting a beatdown from Michael Porter Jr. in NBA 2K, a fan got a ton of gifts from the Denver Nuggets' incoming rookie.

As reported by Denver Stiffs, the fan — Royal Gomez — was told that he's going to get some Puma gear:

Gomez initially put up his $800 Jordans as his bet. However, Porter Jr. declined, noting that he can't wear the shoes since he's sponsored by Puma. Gomez was pretty confident going in, as he shared with Adam Mares of Denver Stiffs:

“I’m really, really really good at 2k, enough to have maybe lost 5 times all year so I was extremely confident going in.”

He added that Porter was pretty serious when it came to 2K. He didn't even react to the occasional Nikola Jokic jokes that Gomez slipped in from time to time. At one point, he even yelled at the TV:

“It was pretty serious for him. Me and my cousin were making occasional Nikola Jokic jokes but he never acknowledged them once. His brother also kept quiet most of the game but MPJ did get pretty emotional and yelled at the tv. I thought he was gonna break it,” says Gomez.

At the end of the game, Porter admitted that Gomez was the best he's ever played against. As a fan, you won't get a better prize than that. The Pumas and other gears are just bonuses.

“Dude seriously locked me down completely. But he said I was the best he’s played ever.”
