New Denver Nuggets shooting guard Nick Young is happy with everything in the Mile High City…well, except for the altitude.

Nick Young signed with the injury-ravaged Nuggets on Monday. The 33-year-old swingman was an unsigned free agent after winning the championship with the Golden State Warriors last season. He averaged 7.3 points per game during the regular season while shooting 41.2 percent from the field and 37.7 percent from beyond the arc.

Swaggy P is excited to be back in the NBA, but it's going to take him some time to get used to the altitude in Denver.

“Once I saw the injuries, I thought something could happen,” Young said, via TJ McBride of Mile High Sports. “I talked to them about a month ago and we were waiting to see what happens. They ended up calling me again on Friday, flew out on the same day, got in the gym, and the only thing wrong is the altitude out here.”

The Nuggets are going to be without starting shooting guard Gary Harris and power forward Paul Millsap for the foreseeable future. Small forward Will Barton is still recovering from his hip surgery, while point guard Isaiah Thomas hasn't played in a game yet this season after undergoing arthroscopic hip surgery in March.

Denver was able to add Young under the hardship exception. Brandon Goodwin was waived in a corresponding move. Young is expected to provide a much-needed perimeter shooting for the Nuggets.
