Despite a Game 6 loss to the San Antonio Spurs, Denver Nuggets forward Nikola Jokic joined an exclusive list of players who have recorded a stat line of 43 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists in an NBA playoff game.

Per NBA.com/stats, the 24-year-old Serbian joins NBA legends Charles Barkley, Magic Johnson, and Oscar Robertson in recording such an impressive stat line.

Nikola Jokic also shot 19-of-30 from the field, 2-of-6 from 3-point country, and 3-of-4 from the free throw line. Despite his stellar individual effort, the Nuggets succumbed to the Spurs, 120-103, after breaking down toward the end of the third quarter and in the entire fourth quarter.

The series will conclude in a seventh and final game on Saturday at the Pepsi Center. The Nuggets are trying to win their first playoff series since the 2008-2009 season, when they went all the way to the Western Conference Finals. They were eliminated by the Kobe Bryant-led Los Angeles Lakers in six games. The Lakers went on to win the championship. Denver will play a Game 7 for just the fourth time in its NBA existence, which covers the past 43 years. This is just the second Game 7 for the Nuggets since 1994. This kind of moment doesn't come along very often for the franchise, one of several in the NBA which has never made the NBA Finals.

The Nuggets will need more the services of the rest of the squad to defeat the Spurs. Though Nikola Jokic is having an MVP-type season, the Nuggets cannot rely solely on him if they want to go deeper into the playoffs.
