Denver Nuggets All-Star Nikola Jokic has some funny comparisons between himself and Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James.

When Katy Winge of AltitudeTV asked the Nuggets center about the similarities he sees with LeBron, Jokic couldn't help but poke fun at himself.

“The speed is there. Athletic wise…I don't know if he can jump as high as me, but we are kinda similar. And quickness, you know, he's a little bit older, I don't know if he can keep up [the] speed with me,” Nikola Jokic hilariously responded.

“I'm joking. I mean…guys, he's the best player in the league, he's a guy who's been doing this for a long time, [he] affects the game in every possible way. There is some kind of similarities with how we affect our teammates, I think.”

Jokic has never been known for his athleticism, and his game style does not involve being able to leap out of the gym or explode to the basket. The Nuggets big man's approach is slower-paced and more methodical.

For what it's worth, he is one of the best passers the league has seen regardless of position. The Serbian star has great intuition and chemistry with his Nuggets teammates, and he can score from every level of the court. His averages of 26.8 points, 11.8 rebounds, 8.6 assists and 1.8 steals while shooting 57.4 percent from the field and 38.4 percent from deep have put him in conversations for the MVP award.

On the other hand, LeBron James—at age 36 and nearing two decades in the league—is one of the greatest, physical specimens to grace the hardwood. He has taken immaculate care of his body, which allows him to have a lengthy peak that is unprecedented.

Clearly, the Nuggets star is impressive with James' longevity.
