Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic was proud of his frontcourt mate Paul Millsap after proving key in a 101-93 win over the Brooklyn Nets. Millsap seems to have found the fountain of youth, according to Jokic, playing like he's much younger than he is.

“Paul is playing like he's 21, not 77,” Jokic said of Millsap, who's actually 34 years old, according to The Associated Press.

Millsap shook his head when the jab about his age got back to him minutes later.

“I don't know if that's a compliment or not?” he said. “I just feel good.”

Millsap looked spry, actively chasing loose balls and hauling in four offensive rebounds to finishing with 18 points and nine boards. His connection with Jokic was on point from early on, as the gifted big man was able to find him for some wide-open looks.

The Nuggets trailed by 16 points in the third quarter before using a 19-6 run to work their way back. Millsap has slowed down after suffering a few injuries in the past two years with the Nuggets, but while he's not the highly-versatile jack-of-all-trades he once was with the Atlanta Hawks, he still provides solid contributions at both ends — including his ability to stretch the floor.

Millsap is averaging 13.3 points and 6.4 rebounds on the season, shooting 50% from the 3-point line and a career-high 88.1% clip from the foul line, as the Nuggets climbed to 8-3 after Thursday's win over the Nets.
