Nikola Jokic has scored the most points in any Denver Nuggets playoff game. That can now be said after an unforgettable Thursday night in San Antonio.

Jokic scored a game-high 43 points in the Nuggets' 120-103 loss to the San Antonio Spurs in Game 6 of their first-round playoff series on April 25. No other Nuggets player has scored more in the postseason, per StatMuse's official Twitter account.

The Nuggets have had some remarkable scorers in their history: Dan Issel, Alex English, and more recently, Carmelo Anthony. Those players could fill it up with the best of them, but Jokic has risen above all of them.

Jokic scored 27 of his points in the second half of Game 6. According to The Associated Press (via ESPN), his 43 points rank third behind Damian Lillard's 50 and Kevin Durant's 45 in the current playoffs.

The Nuggets' big man also grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out nine assists. Had he recorded one more assist, he would have had his second triple-double of the series.

Spurs center Jakob Poeltl told The Associated Press Jokic “played great.”

He played great tonight, he did his thing, that's for sure. But I think we answered that with a team effort. We had a lot of guys coming in and putting up big points and contributing in different ways.

For his part, Jokic realizes what awaits him this Saturday in Game 7:

I don't know, it's my first Game 7. It's probably going to be even tougher than this one.

The 24-year-old Jokic is in his fourth NBA season, all with the Nuggets. He has improved every year, increasing his scoring average from 10.0 points per game during his rookie year to 20.1 points per game this season.

As a result, Jokic earned his first NBA All-Star berth. This certainly won't be his last. He is arguably one of the most versatile big men in the NBA today.

The Nuggets and Spurs will play Game 7 at the Pepsi Center in Denver on April 27.
