Denver Nuggets star center Nikola Jokic thinks he might be playing the best basketball of his life right now, and it's hard to disagree with him.

In his first ever playoffs, Jokic is showing the world he's not afraid of the big stage and that the Nuggets are a serious threat to win the NBA title.

Denver is up 3-2 on the Portland Trail Blazers and can advance to the Western Conference Finals if it wins Game 6 on Thursday in Portland:

Through the first 12 games of the 2019 playoffs, Jokic is averaging 24.5 points, 13.1 rebounds and 9.0 assists per contest. The Nuggets' franchise cornerstone is shooting an efficient 50.5 percent from the field, 38.3 percent beyond the arc, and 85.7 percent from the free-throw line.

Jokic has four triple-doubles so far in the postseason. He is slowly but surely establishing himself as the best big man in the NBA. The Nuggets are very fortunate to have Jokic on their roster.

Denver hasn't been to the Western Conference Finals since 2009. The Nuggets lost to Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers in six games that year.

The Blazers — with Jusuf Nurkic out and Enes Kanter at less than 100 percent — don't have anyone on their roster who can stop Jokic from dominating in the post. Denver basically runs its offense through Jokic, who often brings up the ball since he is a stellar passer. Jokic is a complete player for the Nuggets.
