When Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic was told he tested positive for COVID-19 in Serbia, the Joker was “surprised.”

While speaking to Nuggets reporters on Tuesday for the first time since March, Jokic spoke about his “weird” COVID-19 test.

“It was kind of weird, because I was feeling good,” Nikola Jokic said, via ESPN. “I was feeling normal. And when they said [the positive result] I was a little surprised because I had [a] normal day routine, a workout and everything and they called me and they said that I am positive.

“Then I called everybody and they said it's fine, they said your health is the most important thing which is right.”

Jokic has finally cleared quarantine and will join his Nuggets teammates to watch Tuesday night's practice in Orlando, Florida. Since the All-Star big man still has to undergo physical testing by the Nuggets before he is cleared to practice, he can only watch for now.

Before the 2019-20 season was suspended in March, Jokic was playing like a superstar. The Nuggets' franchise player was averaging 20.2 points, 10.2 rebounds and 6.9 assists while shooting 52.8 percent from the floor, 31.4 percent from beyond the arc and 81.3 percent from the free-throw line.

Prior to the start of the 2020 playoffs, the Nuggets will take on the Miami Heat, Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs, Portland Trail Blazers, Utah Jazz, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers and Toronto Raptors in their eight seeding games.

As it stands, Denver is in third place in the Western Conference standings with a stellar record of 43-22.
