Paul Millsap and the Denver Nuggets started the season off with a ridiculous streak of nine wins in 10 games. Since that scorching hot start, the Nuggets have fallen off significantly. The team has lost their last four games and their record sits at 9-5. The offense has faltered a bit in their recent losses, but Millsap isn't worrying too much about the offense. He wants the focus to be on winning games more than anything else.

“We don’t care,” Millsap told Mike Singer of The Denver Post before Thursday’s game against Atlanta. “We were 9-1 and last in 3-point percentage, so the offense doesn’t matter. Our main focus is to win games. Our offense is going to come. We’ve got a lot of talented guys, a lot of guys who can score the ball. … If we get down, get our defense back right and get our routine right on defense, we’ll be alright.”

Millsap knows how much offensive talent is on the roster. Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Gary Harris are too talented to let the offense slump for long stretches of time. So long as Jokic isn't trying to prove a point by refusing to take a shot, the Nuggets' offense will find its footing. It's too tough to defend with Jokic's elite passing ability when combined with Harris and Murray's ability to make tough shots.

The Nuggets have come back down to earth after their terrific start. Denver is still a dangerous team despite its recent struggles, but Paul Millsap rightly doesn't sound worried about it.
