The Denver Nuggets are in the midst of a very surprising 2018-19 campaign, and things may be about to get even better. According to T.J. McBride of Mile High Sports, Nuggets big man Paul Millsap is out of his walking boot and may have even gone through a portion of practice on Friday.

Millsap suffered a broken toe during his team's loss to the Charlotte Hornets back on Dec. 7 and was expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks, so the fact that he may have done some things in practice already is a major step in the right direction.

The 33-year-old got off to a very rough start this season, but he was playing very well and starting to turn things around before the injury. On the year, Millsap is averaging 13.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.1 blocks over 26.8 minutes per game while shooting 49.8 percent from the floor, 40.0 percent from 3-point range and 72.7 percent from the free-throw line.

Denver signed Millsap to a three-year, $90 million deal during the summer of 2017, but the four-time All-Star was very disappointing during an injury-marred first year in the Mile High City, registering 14.6 points and 6.4 boards a night while making just 46.4 percent of his shots and 34.5 percent of his triples.

The Monroe, La. native, who played his collegiate basketball at Louisiana Tech, was originally selected by the Utah Jazz in the second round (47th pick overall) of the 2006 NBA Draft.

While he enjoyed some solid seasons in Utah, his best years came with the Atlanta Hawks, as Millsap made the All-Star team in each of his four seasons in Atlanta between the 2013-14 and 2016-17 campaigns.
