The Western Conference-leading Denver Nuggets are about to become scarier as the team is set to welcome back power forward Paul Millsap in their matchup against the Phoenix Suns.

The former All-Star suffered a broken toe in his right foot in the first week of December and hasn't played since. Last season, Paul Millsap played in only 38 games for Denver after injuring his wrist.

Denver, entering Saturday's game against the Suns, own a win-loss record of 22-11, but only half a game separates the team from the second and third-placed Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors, respectively.

The Nuggets have been led all season long by center Nikola Jokic, who's churning near triple-doubles consistently for Mike Malone's squad.

In 25 games this season, Paul Millsap held averages of 13.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 1.1 blocks per contest. While his scoring has significantly dipped, that doesn't seem to pose any concern to the Nuggets as his across-the-board contributions remain.

The Mile High team packs plenty of offensive weapons and they are yet to see the returns of two of their most explosive scorers in Gary Harris and Will Barton. Furthermore, Isaiah Thomas and rookie Michael Porter Jr. are yet to see action for the Nuggets as they nurse injuries of their own.

With Millsap's return, Juancho Hernangomez, Trey Lyles, and perhaps even Mason Plumlee will have to take a backseat. Although Hernangomez is a good problem to have for Denver after admirably filling in for Millsap.
