After making great strides during the 2016-17 NBA season with a 40-42 record, the Denver Nuggets signed Paul Millsap to a two-year, $61 million deal in free agency. Unfortunately, Millsap suffered a wrist injury 16 games into the 2017-18 season against the Los Angeles Lakers on Nov. 19.

Following surgery, the 33-year-old's return timetable was approximately three months. Now, exactly three months later, Millsap is available to play against the Los Angeles Clippers according to Nuggets official Twitter account:

Without Millsap, the Nuggets were able to stay afloat in the Western Conference as they currently have the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. However, with the third and 10th seeds only separated by 5.5 games, Millsap could not have returned at a better time.

In 16 appearances this season, Millsap is averaging 15.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in 29.7 minutes. While it will take time for the four-time All-Star to get in sync with his teammates, his experience down the stretch will be key in helping Denver make their first playoff appearance in five seasons.
