In case anyone forgot, Isaiah Thomas of the Denver Nuggets reminded everyone of his big Christmas day game.

Via Twitter, Thomas reminded everyone how he “cooked” the New York Knicks on Christmas of 2016 as he dropped 27 points, back when he was still a member of the Boston Celtics:

Thomas is currently rehabbing from hip surgery. Though the Nuggets haven't released a timeline for his return, the 29-year-old hinted earlier this month that his return may come sooner than later:

Though he's not contributing points and assists, he's still seen as a valuable asset for the Nuggets. Per Mike Singer of the Denver Post, veteran teammate Paul Millsap says that Thomas uses his voice to help out the young players in the Nuggets squad:

“To have his voice in our locker room, to help some of these younger guys out, it takes a lot of load off myself,” Millsap said.

Many have counted out Thomas after his exit from the Celtics. But from time to time, we are reminded of the great player he once was through previous highlights like the one he posted above. And when he returns back from injury, we may see a reincarnation of a Thomas — the 5-foot-9 guard who was a leading MVP candidate.
