Denver Nuggets President of Basketball Operations Tim Connelly is excited to see rookie Bol Bol play next season.

Per AFP, Connelly said that Bol is an extremely talented player who has a unique skill set that will be beneficial to the team.

“With his length and ability to protect the rim and stretch the floor, it's a pretty rare combination. We think his skill set, his pedigree, who he is as a guy, will fit in well in the locker room,” Connelly shared.

Although Bol only appeared in nine games for the University of Oregon, he played extremely well. He averaged 21.0 points, 9.6 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game while shooting 56.1 percent from the field, including 52 percent from 3-point range.

Bol was once considered as one of the best players in the 2019 draft class, with some even considering him as a top-five pick. Unfortunately, concerns about his foot forced teams to pass on him until he fell to the Nuggets in the second round.

If he can stay healthy this upcoming season, the 19-year-old Sudanese big man will definitely play a key role in the Nuggets' championship aspirations. He will also have the opportunity to grow with the team's promising young core of Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr.

Connelly and the Nuggets are certainly hoping that Bol lives up to their expectations. The seven-foot rookie is confident that he can contribute in a lot of ways for Denver, and it will only be a matter of time before he gets the chance to prove himself on the court.
