Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray is becoming one of the most exciting young stars in the NBA. The spit-fire guard has constantly improved his game every year since his rookie season.

The knock on the Canadian through his three years in the league is his defense. This season, however, Murray has shown strides in that aspect of his game. While he isn't locking people down on the perimeter like Kawhi Leonard or Patrick Beverley, it's good to see Murray working on his game.

In an NBA.com special about Denver's quarter season review, team president Tim Connelly said that Murray is too important and too good to just be hidden on defense, per Alex Labidou.

Murray is having a solid fourth season with Denver thus far, leading the team in scoring through the first 20 games of the year. The 22-year old is putting up nightly averages of 18.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and a career-best 1.6 steals for the Nuggets.
