While rookie center Bol Bol has yet to see some NBA action, Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray thinks the 44th overall pick of the 2019 NBA draft could be the steal of the class.

Bol, who is the son of former NBA player and defensive stalwart Manute Bol, has been raising eyebrows during the team's practice sessions in the Orlando bubble. In a conference call with the media, Murray shared how Bol's height and wingspan are his primary assets.

“Bol is talented,” Jamal Murray said, per Nuggets staff writer Alex Labidou. “He’s 7-foot-2 with a 7-foot-7 wingspan and he’s a mismatch anywhere on the court.”

Murray pointed out that Bol needs to work on several aspects of his game, particularly his physique. He also needs to familiarize himself with the Nuggets playbook. Nevertheless, Murray has much confidence in the youngster and what he can do.

“He obviously needs to hit the weight room, but 7-foot-2 is hard to stop for anybody. He’s an easy target to pass to and he can shoot. He can put the ball on the floor and he blocks shots and hustle,” the Nuggets star said. “Once he’s able to read and react [in the Nuggets’ offense], he’s going to be a hell of a player because he can make up so much ground offensively and defensively. It will be fun to see him in some live action.”

Whether or not head coach Mike Malone finally fields the 7-foot-2 rookie in the NBA restart is a matter of wait and see. Nonetheless, Bol sure looks like a promising player who can add more depth into the Nuggets' roster.
