Will Barton of the Denver Nuggets doesn't think there's any real beef between the Los Angeles Lakers and teammate Jamal Murray, thinking it's a mere social construction.

“It ain’t real. That’s some suburban beef, man. Come on,” said Barton when asked of their storied drama series, according to Gina Mizell of The Denver Post. “Somebody mad about somebody getting hot and talking a little bit? That happens every day in the NBA.”

The Lakers, including head coach Luke Walton, have been utterly bothered by Murray's showman antics, considering it a blatant disrespect.

Denver is bound to face Los Angeles for the last time this season in their own homecourt, making it the ultimate chance to take the series after handing the Lakers two convincing losses at the Pepsi Center.

During the wins, Murray posted 28 and 22 points, respectively, a clear sign his game was on from the get-go.

Nuggets coach Mike Malone won't give this beef any run, focused at the task at hand, in hopes to carve a playoff spot, standing just a tiebreaker shy of the eighth and last spot in an ultra-competitive Western Conference.

“I’m not gonna even talk about it. I think it’s gotten too much freaking run. Jamal Murray’s a young player. We beat them. They’re upset at him. Let them do whatever they gotta do. We’re here to handle our business.”

Murray will need to bring his A-game yet again if the Nuggets are to make a push against the likes of the red-hot Utah Jazz and the struggling San Antonio Spurs.
