The Denver Nuggets may have lost Game 1 of their best-of-seven first round series matchup against the San Antonio Spurs, but they believe that they can still turn the tables around.

Nuggets swingman Will Barton told Mike Singer of the Denver Post that the team isn't worried because Game 2 will still be played in Denver.

“There’s nothing to be tight about. We still got Game 2. Series is still early.”

Coming into the playoffs as the second seed in the West, a lot of people thought that the Nuggets would make quick work of the seventh-seeded Spurs. After all, they are one of the teams that are expected to have a legitimate shot of taking down the two-time defending champions Golden State Warriors.

Instead, the Nuggets were outplayed by a veteran Spurs team that knows how to slow the game's pace and make it work in their favor.

The Spurs took a 101-96 win and now lead the series 1-0.

Still, Will Barton believes there's nothing to be worried about.

“I don’t think we are in panic mode. I don’t feel like we need to make a whole bunch of adjustments, like we got blown out and our whole game plan was ruined or anything like that. We have to make a few adjustments and we have to make shots.”

Nuggets coach Michael Malone already said that the team will need to do two things in Game 2; play a fast-paced game and take better shots.

Game 2 of the series will be on Tuesday, April 16.
