The Denver Nuggets are one of the best defensive teams in the league and according to Will Barton, Gary Harris is the team's best defender.

Right after the Nuggets' 105-88 victory over the LA Clippers, Barton credited Harris for setting the tone of the team's defense. He even went as far as to saying that the 24-year-old swingman is their best defender “up and down.”

“He’s our best defender, up and down,” Will Barton told Mike Singer of the Denver Post after Denver held the Clippers to just 34.5 percent shooting from the field, including 3-of-21 from outside.

Veteran forward Paul Millsap echoed Barton's statements, emphasizing Harris' overall effort on the defensive end.

“His defense sets the tone for a lot of things that we do,” Paul Millsap said. “The way he can fight over screens and chase guys, the way he can get deflections, the way he contests shots. All that translates over down the line.”

Below is one good example of Harris' great defensive tenacity. Not only did he read the play very well and came up with the steal, but he also had the presence of mind to tap the ball immediately to start the fastbreak. Overall, the Nuggets turned 17 Clippers turnovers into 26 points.

The Nuggets are ranked 10th best defensive team with a rating of 107.8. The clip above, as well as his teammates' praises, only goes to show that Gary Harris has played a big part in the team's superb season.
